Kirsty McLuckie: Luxury homestyle tips on how to make home improvements suited to a millionaire lifestyle.
The most expensive homes have a lot of features in common. According to a property data analysis, the answers are very simple regarding the interior elements of the most expensive residences. Perhaps the most common design feature in these expensive residences is floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Whether sliding patio or aluminum split, the designs and colors may have changed but the essential design concept remained the same - a space with a large expanse of glass from top to bottom.
The advantages of admitting so much light into a house are clear, but it should be noted that this feature only works if the view is also excellent. Planted private gardens or an inspirational panorama on the other side of the glass helps immensely. When it comes to layout, each of the residences examined had a reasonably similar approach, with large open-plan living rooms being the standard feature in common.
- Decorating styles and color palettes might vary from place to place but elements stay the same.
- The great majority appear to keep to a single design, whether traditional, regal, or minimalist.
- Some interior design ideas repeatedly appear in hundred of homes of all forms and sizes.
This appears to be regular practice in luxury residences, with uniformity resulting in an overall atmosphere inside the property. A variety of décor styles were seen in each of the homes studied. Each residence also had a variety of custom furniture and accessories that could be found throughout. Giant mirrors, modern artwork and accessories, marble, feature wallpapers, and large clocks were among them. Investing in a large clock and a few mirrors may indeed provide a touch of elegance to one section of the home.
